Six Tibetan Monks of the Gaden Shartse Monastic College are in Telluride Friday August 15, 2008 through Monday August 18, 2008.  There will be several events at the Telluride Yoga Center, an event in Ophir, Colorado Saturday morning with a potluck picnic to follow, and a screening of the documentary film, Dalai Lama Renaissance.  The Monks are also available for personal appointments and consultations.  The Monks will be at the Telluride Farmers' Market from Noon to 4:00 PM on Friday.  A meditation will follow at 4:45 PM at the Telluride Yoga Center.  Please visit their website at www.gadenshartsetour.org for more information.  All events are by donation.

Class Chnages:  Tai Chi and Kung Fu classes from Tuesday August 5th through August 14 will be open studio for self practice while Jason Troth is away.  Instructed classes will resume Tuesday August 19th.

Saturday August 23rd, 12:00-2:00 pm
Tibetan Monk Geshe Phuntsok will teach meditation and give a dharma talk at the Yoga Center.  $15 suggested donation.

Cancellations:

August 28th - 5:15 pm and 7:00 pm classes cancelled for trunk show.
August 29th - September 1st  All classes  for annual  trunk show. 

Ashtanga Form & Foundation class on Sundays at 12p has been canceled. Look for this class to return starting in December.

FILM FESTIVAL TRUNK SHOW

Begins Friday August 29th at noon and ends Monday evening September 1st.
National and local designers for clothing, jewelry, and other specialty items.
Great discounts and sample sales.  Credit cards accepted.
A portion of the proceeds goes towards supporting the Yoga Community.

TEACHERS ON RETREAT

Aubrey will be taking a well deserved vacation in August.  Thank you Aubrey, Elaine, and your whole team for bringing the Yoga Festival to town.  It was a huge success!
